Why You Should Be Keeping Fuel in the Tank During Winter

When the freezing cold arrives this winter, you are going to be wanting to drive your car with as much gasoline as possible. Leave the tank near empty, and these are a few of the issues you might be dealing with. If your car is almost out of gas, you are lightening the load of the rear of the car substantially. Those tires need all the help they can get on slick roads, so a full tank will make it easier for them to grip that icy highway.

The condensation forms in the gas tank when there is more room for air, and that eventually turns to moisture that has the potential to freeze. If you drive around with barely any gas in the car, if you have a breakdown, you will have little or no gas left to keep the engine running so you can leave the heat on until help arrives.

Come visit us at Webber Family Motors and we will inspect the fuel for any moisture issues.
